Jon Stewart was not joking around on Wednesday when he called Donald Trump’s presidential announcement “a gift from heaven.”
“I’m just really happy,” the host of “The Daily Show” said. “Come on, let’s dance, Clownstick.”
From Trump’s escalator entrance to his ramblings about his wealth to his calling Mexican immigrants “rapists,” Stewart savored every moment.
“This speech was so fucked up, that in the middle of it, all the liquid in his body tried to escape from the corner of his mouth,” the host said.
Eventually, Stewart concluded that the “batshit billionaire” Trump was placing him in “some kind of comedy hospice” for his last six weeks hosting the show.
We know that Trump is a 2-ton gadfly-in-the-ointment.
While comedy gold for TDS’s final weeks?
Trump’s sucking the oxygen out of the room daily with his ramblings will be the MSM’s focus–
as opposed to seeing the near-criminal-elements who are likely to be the GOP candidate for POTUS–
for what they are-- and what they’ve done.

I agree Trump is a farce and just another distraction that allows others to avoid the serious questions that need to be asked and honestly answered. But it is the MSM, so does anyone expect them to do the jobs of journalists. I don’t. Stewart on the other hand is on a comedy show so it is his job to make fun.
We have a choice here - comedy or farce, laugh or cry.
If enough people laugh at the farce of Trump’s candidacy, maybe he’ll take the hint and get the heck out.
Personally, I would rather laugh. Out Loud.
Trump is going to make things really interesting in the primary because he’s got too much money and recognition to be ignored, while also having no filter at all and no reason to care what anybody thinks about what he says. Essentially, he’s going to be the massive elephant in the room that will loudly trumpet things that the other prominent candidate are thinking but are too afraid to actually say aloud because they know it would sink them in the general election.
