No stranger to controversy, Stephen Colbert dared to put in a brief good word for Nazis on Wednesday’s episode of “The Colbert Report.”

Colbert was heartened by the burst of bipartisanship surrounding “The No Social Security For Nazis Act,” a bill unanimously passed by the House on Wednesday that closed a loophole allowing Nazis living in the United States to collect Social Security.

“It is the most popular bill to come out of Congress since, ‘No Pre-K for the KKK,'” Colbert said.

“Folks,” he continued, “it’s inspiring to see both parties join hands to declare with one voice: Nazis are bad.”

The host then delivered a personal thank you to Nazis for getting Congress to agree on something. He warned his enemies not to take the clip out of context.
