2016 will just stay weird until the bitter end.
Actor and Donald Trump supporter Scott Baio filed a police report Thursday asserting the wife of the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers assaulted him and berated him at an elementary school event over his support for Trump, TMZ reported.
Baio said the bizarre incident happened last Saturday at his child’s school in Thousand Oaks, Calif., according to TMZ. He claims Nancy Mack, wife of drummer Chad Smith, began screaming at him and hitting him, asking how he could support Trump.
From there, things escalated, according to the TMZ report. Baio claimed that Mack began screaming “grab ’em by the pussy” at him, a reference to Trump’s words on the infamous leaked “Access Hollywood” tape, according to TMZ. Baio said Mack then grabbed him under his arms and shook him.
Unnamed sources told TMZ that Mack, who has been an outspoken opponent of Trump, was trying to show Baio how she feels Trump treats and touches women.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is looking into the incident and Mack is listed as a battery suspect, TMZ reported.
Baio and his wife Renee tweeted their side of the story, posting pictures and complaining about TMZ’s coverage of the incident.
