With 30 percent reported, Sanders looks to have an insurmountable lead in the Democratic primary in Rhode Island.

Polls heading into primary day showed competing results with Clinton leading Sanders by nine points in a Brown University survey and Sanders besting Clinton by four points in a Public Policy Polling survey.

Saturday, Clinton did a swing by in Rhode Island’s tiniest town Central Falls as she made her final pitch. Former President Bill Clinton was dispatched on Hillary Clinton’s behalf Monday in the state.

Bernie Sanders attracted 7,000 supporters at a rally he held in Providence Sunday.

The race was considered one of Sanders’ best chances of picking up a victory Tuesday. Clinton, however, had won both of Rhode Islands’s senators’ endorsements.

  2. Go, Bernie, go. Thank you for running a campaign that brought income inequality and toxic distribution of wealth; a more livable minimum wage; interventionist foreign policy; inequatible taxation; excessive college tuition; and the US’s blind support of Israeli apartheid, among other issues, to the fore. It’s pretty amazing for a “single issue” candidate.

Sorry that older Democrats are afraid of their own shadows. Maybe the next generation will rediscover the soul of the party.

  3. Dude. Really? The problem is that we’re cowards and soulless? That’s what you’re going with?

  4. Yes. I believe that Democrats have lost their way. The marxists call it “colonization of consciousness”, and we have it bad. We’ll gladly jettison the poorest among us, and let the rich walk all over us, just as long as we get a couple of real but relatively small trifles per decade. We are pitiful.

The only areas where the older Democrats may differ from the goals you cite are the moral status of Israel and when the US should intervene abroad. They do differ from you on the extent to which these goals can be achieved now and the best way to do so. The real place that they differ is that they can recognize an asshole whereas Bernie Baby can’t even recognuze an asshole when he sees one in the mirror.
