Sanders Concedes That Clinton Is Qualified For The Presidency

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) conceded on the Democratic presidential debate stage Thursday that his rival Hillary Clinton was qualified for the White House.

“Does Secretary Clinton have the experience and intelligence to be a president? Of course, she does, but I do question — but I do question her judgment,” Sanders said at the CNN debate in Brooklyn.

As an example of bad judgment, Sanders pointed to Clinton’s vote in favor of the war in Iraq and for accepting money from super PACs.

Clinton shot back and pointed to Sanders’ interview with the New York Daily News, which endorsed her, and again suggested he hadn’t been prepared for the interview.

“I think you need to have the judgment on day one to be both President and commander-in-chief,” Clinton said.

Sanders and Clinton have had a significant back and forth over who was qualified for the presidency. It started when Clinton questioned Sanders’ preparedness for an interview with the editorial board of the New York Daily News. Sanders came back and said Clinton herself was unqualified, a remark he later walked back.

Now, now, don’t hold back. Tell us how you really feel.

I, for my part, can’t wait for the primary silly season to be over.
