Ryan’s office later Sunday disputed CBS’ transcript of the speaker’s comments about Trump’s deportation plan. According to Ryan’s office, he said: “About the deportation, I don’t support that as well. That’s not part of our agenda.”

CBS has since added a note to its transcript that reads: “Speaker Paul Ryan’s office disputes this section of the transcript. They say that Speaker Paul Ryan said, “about the deportation, I don’t support that as well. That’s not part of our agenda” not the CBS News transcript, “about the deportation, I don’t support that and he said, ‘Well, that’s not part of our agenda.’” Watch the video here.

Original story below:

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Sunday that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump told him that his plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants was not part of his “agenda.”

Ryan was asked by CBS News’ “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson if he has policy discussions with Trump. Ryan said that they have discussed Trump’s proposed ban on all Muslims from entering the country and his plan to deport millions.

“Look, I’ve spoken to him about the Muslim ban and how I disagree with it. About-about the deportation, I don’t support that and he said, ‘Well, that’s not part of our agenda,'” Ryan said.

Ryan went on to say that they have also discussed the economy and balancing the federal budget.

Trump once estimated that it would take 18 months to two years “if handled properly” to deport undocumented immigrants. He had said in November that he would use “deportation force” to remove everyone.

A spokeswoman for Trump didn’t immediately return TPM’s request for comment.
