Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had an interesting way of declining comment on the United States’ 2016 presidential election in a Wednesday interview.

“Russia had its own Pussy Riot moment. What do you think of Donald Trump’s pussy riot moment?” CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked Lavrov, apparently comparing the Russian protest group to Trump’s boasts about grabbing women by the genitals in a leaked 2005 video.

“English is not my mother tongue. I don’t know whether I would sound decent,” Lavrov replied.

After some hesitation, he added: “There are so many pussies around your presidential campaign on both sides that I prefer not to comment about this.”
