The GOP debate audience erupted in laughter Thursday when Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) flipped the barb that had skewered Rubio in the last debate and sued it on Donald Trump.
After Rubio was blasted earlier this month by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for a “memorized, 25-second speech” on Obama in which he repeated the same line three times, Rubio took the opportunity to call out Trump for the parroting practice.
“Now he’s repeating himself,” Rubio pointed out when Trump was trying to explain a health care policy point.
“No, I’m not — no, no, no, no,” Trump said, drowned out by audience laughter. “I don’t repeat myself. I don’t repeat myself.”
Trump wouldn’t let Rubio hit him without fighting back.
“Talking about repeating. I watched him repeat himself five times four weeks ago,” Trump said. ” I watched him. I watched him melt down on the stage like I’ve never seen anybody.”
