Romney’s Not Keen On Newt’s Moon Colony Idea

Mitt Romney’s now appearing before the DMR editorial board and trying to draw distinctions between what he’s selling as his more practical ideas and Newt Gingrich’s odder flights of fancy. He reminds the board that Gingrich has floated the idea of “a permanent colony on the moon in order to mine precious minerals.” He also says Gingrich has proposed “a series of mirrors in space in order to light our highways at night.” He concludes, “I think we’ve got other priorities to worry about.”
