Fox News chief Roger Ailes spared a few kind words for his competitor MSNBC this week, in particular his fondness for the “Morning Joe” duo of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

“I flip to MSNBC occasionally to make sure their blind pig didn’t find an acorn,” Ailes joked in a profile published in the Hollywood Reporter on Monday. “But they never have once.”

“I tell you who I do like at MSNBC — I like Joe and Mika,” he added.

In recent years, Scarborough has kept up a dodgy rapport with Fox News personalites. Megyn Kelly ridiculed him when he appeared on “The Kelly File,” last May.

“If you want to see more of Joe, you can join his four viewers and see it tomorrow morning,” Kelly joked. Scarborough admitted that Fox enjoyed a vast number of cable viewers.

“That’s why I came here, thank you Roger,” Scarbrough said, referencing Ailes. He turned to the camera and blew a kiss.

“You are paying homage to the right men,” Kelly said.

During the interview, Scarborough insisted that he was on good terms with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck while admitting he wasn’t so sure about Sean Hannity.

As for Fox’s crown prince of punditry, Bill O’Reilly, Scarbrough recently defended the host of “The O’Reilly Factor” after reports surfaced that O’Reilly had manufactured and embellished stories of covering wars and riots.
