Reports: Man Sets Himself On Fire On National Mall

A man set himself on fire Friday on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., according to multiple media reports. 

A D.C. Metro Police spokesman told TPM the man was “conscious and breathing.” He was airlifted to a local hospital.

Witnesses told NBC they saw a man pouring gasoline on himself, and several joggers nearby “ripped their shirts off in an attempt to subdue the flames.”
