Rand Paul might have been kept off the main debate stage Thursday night, but some of his supporters were in South Carolina in full force.
From the audience a group of Paul supporters shouted, “We want Rand! We want Rand!” The interruption came toward the end of the debate and only lasted moments.
With slumping poll numbers, Paul was not eligible for the primetime debate. He was invited to participate in the undercard debate but boycotted it.
Love to see that entitled little frat-boy get humiliated. Now he needs a challenge in Kentucky.
So that’s what they were chanting. I couldn’t quite make it out. Which is fitting, because I have never been able to make up any path to the White House for Rand.
I’ve been watching Rand Paul since he first ran for the Senate. He has always come across to me as having an authoritarian mindset. I can well imagine this is one of the few times in his life that he’s being denied something that he wants. The poor soul is coming apart before our very eyes at the thought that he is not in control of this situation. I, on the other hand, am LMBO at his childish antics–the temper tantrums, going on The Daily Show [a place where he had to feel out of place, and throwing the bird at national TV networks. I guess his next step will be mooning the networks.
So Rand Paul was at the main card debate. Just in the audience.
