Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) was asked to say “a few good things” about his competitors in the Maine governors race and he said that he doesn’t follow them.

The comment came during a debate on Tuesday night. The first response came from Independent candidate Elliot Cutler who highlighted Rep. Mike Michaud’s (D-ME) work for New Balance and LePage on reforming welfare. Then, when LePage’s turn came, he touted his own work, saying he was proud of “bucking the system” and his work on domestic violence. LePage was then pressed to make comments about his two opponents.

“My opponents? I don’t know, I don’t follow them,” LePage said.
