President Barack Obama pauses as he speaks to the media about Ebola before leaving the White House en route to Wisconsin, Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington. The president said the US can't be seen as shying away from battle against Ebola. Obama did not directly criticize quarantine policies for returning health care workers implemented in New York and New Jersey. But he says the response to Ebola needs to be sensible and "based on science," while supporting health care workers going overseas to fight the disease. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin) MORE LESS

President Obama on Sunday remembered ESPN SportsCenter host Scott Stuart, who died on Sunday after a long battle with cancer.

“I will miss Stuart Scott. Twenty years ago, Stu helped usher in a new way to talk about our favorite teams and the day’s best plays. For much of those twenty years, public service and campaigns have kept me from my family – but wherever I went, I could flip on the TV and Stu and his colleagues on SportsCenter were there,” Obama said in a statement. “Over the years, he entertained us, and in the end, he inspired us – with courage and love. Michelle and I offer our thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and colleagues.”
