President Obama will give remarks at a memorial service Tuesday for the victims of the shooting in Dallas, according to a White House pool report.
Obama will give his remarks at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, according to the statement from press secretary Josh Earnest.
Five police officers were killed last week in a sniper attack when a man identified as Micah Johnson targeted white officers following two fatal police shootings against black men.

Hmm…worrying. No open car, I’m sure. Still worrying, but the president has to go.
No doubt, through the pain, he’ll deliver a somber, thoughtful, and soaring speech that’ll help soothe raw and tender feelings.
It’s unfair that he has to do this yet again…but there’s no one better.

all of us,” saying that the “demented individual” who carried out the
attack in Dallas was “no more representative of African-Americans” than
Dylann Roof, the suspect in the Charleston, South Carolina church
shooting, was of white Americans or Omar Mateen, the gunman in the
Orlando nightclub massacre, was of Muslim Americans.”
