NYT Reports Trump Camp Signaling Pence Will Be VP

The New York Times reported Thursday that Donald Trump’s campaign is signaling he’ll select Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

Citing “three people with knowledge of the conversations,” the Times reported that Trump’s advisers have told Republican officials they’re preparing for an announcement with Pence. Trump said he will formally announce who he has selected Friday at 11 a.m. ET.

Roll Call also reported that Pence would be Trump’s vice presidential pick, citing an anonymous source. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich are also among those Trump was considering to be his running mate.

However, senior Trump staffers tweeted Thursday afternoon that Trump had not yet made a decision:
