“The Nightly Show” wants to know how the relationship between the U.S. and North Korea became contingent on five-time NBA Champion Dennis Rodman.

After productive, albeit tense, relationships between JFK and Kruschev as well as Reagan and Gorbachev, Larry Wilmore said it didn’t make sense that an athlete was brokering the relationship between America and North Korea.

“Relationships matter,” Larry Wilmore said.

“We’re doomed. The U.S. is the richest, most advance nation on Earth. How is our survival in the hand’s of this guy?” he continued, before showing a picture of Rodman.

“Dennis Rodman was on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ so if Trump becomes President, Rodman’s probably our Secretary of State,” Wilmore said. “At least the Department of the Interior.”
