Multiple television news anchors have met with Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson to try to secure his first television interview, CNN reported on Sunday.

Sources told CNN’s Brian Stelter that news anchors have privately spoken to the officer who fatally shot Michael Brown in off-the-record meetings to lay the groundwork for a possible interview.

Stelter listed the anchors he knows met with Wilson: NBC’s Matt Lauer, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, CBS’ Scott Pelley, and CNN hosts Anderson Cooper and Don Lemmon. Stelter said that news outlets could not confirm these meetings, and that the list is likely not exhaustive.
