National Wireless Emergency Alert System Completes First National Test

FEMA and the FCC tested both the Wireless Emergency Alerts (for cell phones) and Emergency Alert System (for broadcast, cable, satellite, and wireline communications) on Wednesday, marking the first time the cell phone alerts have been tested nationally.
