Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice N. Patrick Crooks died on Monday in his courthouse chambers, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Crooks, 77, had said that he would not seek re-election at the end of his term this year, according to the newspaper.

Crooks died in his chambers at the courthouse.
