Jerseys for the St. Louis Rams’ Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay player to be drafted by an NFL team this weekend, are currently outselling those of the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

Outsports reported jerseys for Sam, who was the draft’s 249th pick, are currently second in sales — ahead of defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who was the first overall pick to the Houston Texas, and trailing only Johnny Manziel, the Heisman Trophy-winning first-round quarterback drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

“This is unprecedented for a Day 3 pick, let alone a seventh round pick, to crack the top five rookies sold following Draft weekend,” an NFL spokesperson told the news outlet.
