Fox News host Megyn Kelly will sit down with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for an interview slated to air May 17, the network announced Monday.
“Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request. He was gracious with his time and I asked him to consider an interview,” Kelly said in a statement. “I am happy to announce he has agreed, and I look forward to a fascinating exchange — our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year.”
Trump and Kelly have had significant back-and-forth since Trump announced his campaign for the presidency. The public-facing feud started when Trump questioned the fairness of Kelly’s questions at a Republican presidential debate hosted by Fox News and said that it looked like she had blood “coming out of her wherever.”
The squabble also has led the network to condemn some of Trump’s comments and defend Kelly. Fox News chief Roger Ailes reportedly talked to Trump about his comments as well. Rumors of an interview between Kelly and Trump sprouted up earlier this month after the anchor was seen entering Trump Tower.
Extended versions of the interview are expected to air on “The Kelly File” on May 18 at 9 p.m. ET. Kelly is expected to discuss Trump’s time on the campaign trail.
I used to think one of them was a pandering whore.
YAWN!!!
Now you just go and find the most distant star from us in the universe, and then keep going, and that’s where you’ll find the likelihood that this interview will produce anything interesting or revelatory. No haps, to put it simply.
Ezzactly.
Don’t look for anything new or news-worthy to come out of this continuing non-saga.
Good. Didn’t want to shock anyone with this outlier of an opinion. : )
