When Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) announced on Monday that he was suspending his presidential campaign, he urged other candidates to join him in clearing the primary field. On Tuesday, Laura Ingraham’s website, Lifezette, listed six candidates who should follow Walker’s lead.

Lifezette’s Joseph Curl first suggested that both former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore and former New York Gov. George Pataki leave the race since both haven’t really registered in the polls or gotten much attention.

He also suggested South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham drop out since he, like Walker, also doesn’t poll well and “doesn’t even appear to be serious.”

Curl suggested that although former Arkansas Mike Huckabee is polling well compared to other under-performers, he will not win the race. Lifezette even took a dig at Huckabee’s support for Kentucky clerk Kim Davis: “Or the former Arkansas governor could hang around at courthouses and hold press conferences whenever a clerk gets released from jail, like a BizarroWorld Al Sharpton.”

Finally, Lifezette listed former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal as has-beens.

Curl mentions that Santorum will likely remain in the race until Iowa, however.

“The country has moved. It’s time Rick did, too. But while he should drop out, he does have a big-money backer, so he will likely keep eating pizza across Iowa, at least until the caucuses next year,” Curl wrote.

Lifezette suggests Jindal quit and aim for a cabinet spot, lamenting that the governor “can’t help but sound desperate whenever he gets his turn at the mic.”
