Following a bombing at a Doctors Without Borders in Kunduz, Afghanistan, President Barack Obama personally apologized to the international charity.
But on Thursday’s “Nightly Show,” host Larry Wilmore said more than just Obama should be apologizing for the last 14 years.
“The old ‘bomb first, ask questions later’ international policy is how we got into this mess in the first place. The bottom line is the Afghan people deserve to get the medical care they so desperately need,” Wilmore said. “Afghans deserve to go to a hospital and get the same basic results as Americans: to go in for a minor procedure and then die of a staph infection a week later.”
The military should at least be doing a “Google Earth pass,” Wilmore said.
“As long as the United States is apologizing, President Obama, could you grab Bush and everybody who has been in government for the past 14 years for to apologize to every fucking person in the world for being over their in the first place?”

Good point. But, whereas Obama has a sense of decency, moral obligation and duty to take responsibility, Bush et. al., simply has no sense and would be loathe to admit any mistake, much less feel the duty to take responsibility.
Bush will never apologize for anything that happened on his watch, particularly events caused by his administration.
If you can’t understand why, he’ll be happy to paint you a picture.
GREAT POINT, WILMORE! GREAT POINT!
I agree with you wholeheartedly!
Over their what? he he he
Sorry as a shitty speller I get a laugh when I spot a mistake by someone else especially with spell checkers around and even the comment spell checker questioned that word!
I think she was really asking if they’d handled the answers to question better, not the bombing itself. Not that that was a very reasonable question either, but a little less ridiculous.
