Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET at Georgetown University Law School about the nomination of Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.

According to excerpts of the speech provided to TPM, Biden is expected to use his own record as the ranking Democrat and Senate Judiciary Committee chairman to explain why Garland’s nomination deserves a vote.
