Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) attacked Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) during a Wednesday morning appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” for his rival’s role in expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

“When (Kasich) had a chance he expanded Obamacare through Medicaid,” Bush said. “Governors across this country had a chance to take a stand against Obamacare and many did. Here in Florida, as a private citizen, I fought for stopping the expansion of medicaid and we were successful.”

Bush made the rounds on cable news programs on Wednesday morning to hammer the message that his record is more conservative than rivals like Kasich.

“Other states did the same but in Ohio it was expanded. He’ll have to explain that down here where, Obamacare, people want it repealed. They don’t want it expanded,” Bush added.

Bush continued the attack by saying Kasich’s campaign was a “one-state strategy,” referring to New Hampshire. Kasich took second place in the Granite State to Bush’s fourth.

On CNN, Bush again said he believed in repealing Obamacare—this time not mentioning Kasich.

The South Carolina Republican presidential primary is February 20.
