After a bombshell New York Times report about presumptive Donald Trump’s behavior with women behind closed doors, Ivanka Trump defended her father Wednesday, saying “he’s not a groper.”

“Look, I’m not in every interaction my father has, but he’s not a groper,” she said in a CBS interview, as quoted by Politico. “It’s not who he is. And I’ve known my father obviously my whole life and he has total respect for women.”

She also said she found the front-page story “pretty disturbing, based on the facts as I know them and obviously I very much know them” as both his daughter and business associate.

The presumptive GOP nominee has strenuously disputed the Times’ reporting, which draws on interviews with more than 50 women who have known Trump. While the newspaper has stood by the story, Trump called for Michael Barbaro, one of the reporters who wrote the story, to resign on Tuesday night.
