What are people doing to distract themselves & not go crazy waiting for Tuesday night (besides voting)? I am listening to the audiobook of Mycroft Holmes by Kareem-Abdul Jabbar (!!) while knitting a pair of socks in a yummy midnight blue color. After ODing on news this morning…
I’m at home doing an amazingly boring inventory based on photos. To keep from going crazy I’m listening to CDs. I love all kinds of music and order cheap CDs from ERHamilton. They’re cheap enough I can buy exotic stuff and ethnic music. Today I’ve listened to a 3-disk set of Andean music, another of Italian, and am now listening to ocean waves breaking on a shore. (Life is sweet when leavened with music, in all its natural forms.)
I can’t get my mind off of it, so I’ve pretty much been nauseous for the last week. However, we’ve been watching a ton of The West Wing in the evenings.
I’ve been watching The Young Montalbano series.
I’ve been hanging out with Toby from West Wing (really. The actor came down here this week) and driving all the volunteers here to work their collective asses off to knock on doors, make phone calls, drive people to the polls. It makes the time fly by, trust me
And not just volunteers down here. I have people from Alabama showing, a young man from Kentucky and we had the whole Clinton Arkansas Travellers group come through and do some canvassing and phone banking for us (about 58 of them).
We ARE gonna make this happen. And as a side bonus, it gives me zero time to fret and worry
