After he eluded the large gaggle of reporters standing right outside of the Senate’s dining room Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released a photo on Instagram of his high-stakes breakfast with President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland.
“Had pleasant bfast w Judge Garland this morning. Explained why the Senate won’t be moving fwd w his nomination. Next prez will decide after the ppl have a voice,” the Senate Judiciary Committee chair wrote in the post.
Grassley did speak with CNN and said “nothing has changed” as he exited out of a back hallway.
Mmmmmm, hot French Manila Folders with generic Sweet 'n Low…yummy. But, like Grassley’s position, hard to chew.
Oh, to be a fly on that wall…
So much for disregarding the People who have already voted for President Obama twice.
Did Garland have to tip Grassley?
Garland probably had to leave the tip as well as pay the tab… you know… Republican fiscal responsibility…
