Republican Senate incumbents had a remarkable night Tuesday as the GOP maintained its majority in the U.S. Senate.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)– who never supported Trump– credited candidates down ballot for bringing Trump to victory.

“I’m proud of and want to congratulate my Senate colleagues particularly those in swing states right now who ran incredible races that helped President-elect Trump achieve his victory,” Graham said.

“We now have a country to run,” Trump said. “President-elect Trump and the new Congress will face many challenges … to the extent I can help President-elect Trump, I will.”

  1. Talk about whistling in the dark. You might as well resign your party membership now, Lindsey.

  2. It’s fools like Graham that are part of the reason Trump won. The Republicans should be kissing his backside.

  3. Funny that he is one of the first to get in line. I have lost the last tiny shred of respect I had for him.
