Georgia’s Democratic Senate nominee Michelle Nunn pulled ahead of Republican David Perdue in a new Survey USA poll released Wednesday.

Nunn leads Perdue, 48 percent to 45 percent, among likely voters, according to the poll conducted for WXIA in Atlanta. Libertarian candidate Amanda Swafford took 3 percent. Last week, Survey USA put Perdue up, 46 percent to 45 percent.

If no candidate secures 50 percent of the vote on Election Day in Georgia, the election goes to a runoff between the top two candidates in January.

Perdue has generally led in the race, but TPM’s PollTracker average shows Nunn pulling even. She currently holds an average 1.1-point edge, according to PollTracker.

The Survey USA poll, conducted Oct. 10 to 13, survey 563 likely voters. Its margin of error is 4.2 points.

  1. Didn’t they just accidently lose 50,000 submitted voter registration forms in Georgia too? How convenient. Another rogue Secretary of State trying to game the system in favor of his party. There’s so many of these assholes out there in elected office these days.

  2. Maybe the attacks on Perdue’s outsourcing is paying off. Nunn needs a good get-out-the-vote effort. This race is winnable.

The GOTP will not take the Senate

  4. Headline oversells the poll result, with the gap still well within the margin of error

  5. A while back, Ben Jealous (former director of the NAACP) talked about minority voting and how its increase could derail Baggers in Georgia. He had numbers, targeted voting cohorts and potential results.

I hope his efforts and the efforts of others will bear fruit.
