George Zimmerman apparently has a lucrative future in the art world.

An original painting listed Monday by user “therealgeorgez” on auction site eBay was going for $99,966 plus $40 for expedited shipping from Sanford, Fla. as of Tuesday morning, up from an initial bid of $99.

The image of the artwork included in the listing shows a U.S. flag painted in blue and overlaid with the message “God, One Nation, With Liberty and Justice For All.” A signature reading “George Zimmerman” sits in the lower left hand corner.

The item’s listing featured this description:

“First hand painted artwork by me, George Zimmerman. Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative, way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors 🙂 I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman.”

Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., told Orlando TV station News 13 that the painting was the authentic work of his brother and that the auction was legitimate.

Interested buyers have until Saturday night to put in their bid for the alleged Zimmerman original.
