A staffer for Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) allegedly told law enforcement officials that he imported drugs from China with plans to exchange them for sexual favors.
Officers with the Department of Homeland Security and the Metropolitan Police Department raided the home of Cochran office manager Fred W. Pagan on Thursday and, according to The Washington City Paper, found 181.5 grams of meth. According to documents filed in U.S. District Court, Pagan told the officers that he got the meth through his distributor.
Pagan was arrested on Thursday, according to the City Paper.
On April 9 law enforcement officials found a Chinese package in Ohio addressed to Pagan that contained over a kilo of the drug GBL, which is similar to the date rape drug GHB. Pagan, according to the City Paper, allegedly told law enforcement officials that he had received three other packages of GBL. Pagan traded the GBL for sexual favors, the City Paper said.
Cochran spokesman Chris Gallegos told the City Paper on Thursday that a staffer had been arrested. Gallegos, however, said he hadn’t seen the details of the charges.
“Our office is in the process of consulting with Senate legal counsel,” Gallegos wrote to the City Paper.
Guess he didn’t listen to Republican Patron Saint Nancy of Raygun when she was on her Just Say No campaign.
Of course, the Republicans would only get upset with this if the staffer was trading drugs for sex with another man.
So the staffer was a methhead who liked having sex with (raping) women?
Way to pick your staffers lunkhead.
Party of family values … not a doubt.
Hey, cut him some slack…he’s just a small town boy who got mixed up with the wrong crowd.
Staffer in 5, 4, 3, 2, …
