Fox News host Chris Wallace let Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump have it at the beginning of an interview aired Sunday and asked him straight out if the GOP nominee hopeful was in the midst of “blowing” his campaign.

“This may sound harsh, but are you in the process of blowing your campaign for president?” Wallace asked Trump.

“I don’t think so,” Trump responded after talking about his place in the polls. “I’ve had that statement made many times; he just blew his campaign, only to end up having higher poll numbers.”

Wallace’s question came after a week in which Trump changed his stance on abortions multiple times and defended his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who has been charged with battery.
