Elizabeth Warren Slams Trump’s Vision Of A ‘Hate-Filled America’ At DNC

An energized Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) made the case for Hillary Clinton Monday night at the Democratic National Convention, painting her Twitter sparring partner Donald Trump as a selfish con man who would be a dangerous choice to lead the country.

“We are here tonight because America faces a choice, the choice of a new President. On one side is a man who inherited a fortune from his father and kept it going by cheating people, by skipping out on debts, a man who cares only for himself,” Warren said. “On the other side is one of the smartest, toughest, most tenacious people on this planet.”

The Massachusetts senator went on to call Trump the kind of man “who must never be President of the United States” and said definitively, after months of silence during the Democratic primary race, “I’m with her.”

Warren also used Trump’s own rhetoric about the “rigged system” against him to paint the billionaire as no friend of the working class.

“Not once did he lift a finger to help working people. And why would he? His whole life has been about taken advantage of that rigged system,” she said. “Trump’s entire campaign is just one more, late-night Trump infomercial.”

“I’ve got news for Donald Trump. The American people are not falling for it,” Warren continued, to big cheers from the crowd. “We’ve seen this ugliness before, and we are not going to be Donald Trump’s hate-filled America. Not now, not ever.”

  1. Why do I have the comforting feeling that Trump is in a fetal position in the corner of a room? All these hurtful things said about him tonight…he’s probably on suicide watch

  2. Senator Warren ALWAYS speaks the truth. Hope she winged L’il Donny’s yuuuuuge ego. How does one advance to 70 years of age and still have the thin skin of a six-year old? It is a puzzlement.

  3. One one side you have Michelle, Sarah and Elizabeth, on the other side a bunch of zombies and weirdos. Our women are a lot better.

  4. The (what sounded like three) jackasses chanting “We trusted you” thankfully didn’t ruin a pretty good speech which will no doubt rankle the Orange Russian.

  5. “We’ve seen this ugliness before.”

But the original production values were way more professional under Leni Riefenstahl.
