Maine Independent gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler announced at a press conference on Wednesday that he’s not actually dropping out of the race but his supporters are free to vote for other candidates.
At the press conference Cutler, who is running in third place according to polls behind Rep. Mike Michaud (D-ME) and incumbent Gov. Paul LePage (R), he reportedly stressed, contrary to speculation before the presser, that he was not dropping out of the race.
Vote conscience. I am not standing down. @EliotCutler says. #mepolitics

The TPM Polltracker average finds Michaud leading the rest of the field by a slim 0.3 points.
What???
He’s upset that he’s not featured in his opponent’s negative ad?
Shit. That means he thinks he can act as spoiler/king-maker. And he’s going to inflict LePage on ME for another term.
Asshole.
This guy’s a leaky asshole.
Paid operative of LePage says what?
Soooo, he just got a big “donation” from LePage’s supporters?
