Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Saturday that a decision will made “very soon” on whether he’ll rule out running as a third-party candidate in the 2016 election, according to The Washington Post.
Trump has refused to rule out the possibility of a third-party run, including at the GOP debate earlier this month.
But he told reporters in Tennessee on Saturday that a decision to rule out a third-party bid would be made “very soon,” according to the newspaper.
“In terms of victory, (running as a Republican) would certainly be the best path to victory,” Trump said, according to the publication. “We’re going to make a decision very soon, and I think a lot of people are going to be very happy.”
