Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is expected to meet with House Republicans on July 7, House Republican conference chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) announced Tuesday in a closed door meeting, Politico reported.
“Since Mr. Trump became the presumptive nominee, members have asked for us to organize an opportunity for our conference to spend time with him before the convention,” McMorris Rodgers’ aide told Politico.
The meeting comes as the party is deeply divided over Trump and is struggling to coordinate a consistent message with Trump as the nominee.
