Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told The New York Times in an interview published Monday that the GOP race and television ratings would “collapse” if he were to drop out.

Trump said on Sunday that he would quit the race if he dropped in polls.

“I’d go back to my business. I have no problem with that,” he told NBC’s Chuck Todd.

He told the Times in late September that the race would be “boring” without him.

“There’d be a major collapse of the race, and there’d be a major collapse of television ratings,” he said, according to the publication. “It would become a depression in television.”

Trump said that he wouldn’t watch the race “and neither would anybody else.”

“I have made Fox and CNN so much money, and MSNBC, so much money,” Trump told the Times.
