Donald Trump on Thursday morning that he “probably” made a comment about Carly Fiorina’s “face,” but he insisted that it was actually about her “persona.”

While watching the news aboard his private jet with a Rolling Stone reporter, Trump reportedly said, “Look at that face!” when Fiorina appeared on the television.

When asked about the Rolling Stone report on “Fox and Friends” on Thursday, Trump said, “Probably I did say something like that about Carly.”

But he said the comment was actually about her “persona” and was made “in a jocular manner.”

“I’m talking about persona. I’m not talking about looks,” he said.

The real estate mogul also noted that he gets criticized for his hair, which he said “isn’t that bad.”

Trump also told “Fox and Friends” that the pictures in the Rolling Stone piece were “magnificent.”

Later, in an interview on CNN, Trump said the article “had moments of beauty,” but he did not seem thrilled with it overall.

The real estate mogul said he liked the author of the piece, Paul Solotaroff, but said that the magazine’s publisher, Jann Wenner, “screwed it up.”

“They added a lot of stuff — a lot of garish stuff that I think is disgusting,” Trump said on CNN.
