A Dick Cheney and George W. Bush reunion was slated for Thursday’s unveiling of a marble bust of the former vice president in the U.S. Capitol.
The bust, unveiled in the Capitol Visitor Center’s Emancipation Hall, is part of a long tradition of placing busts of ex-vice presidents in the Capitol. Vice presidents preside over the Senate, where they have a tie-breaking vote.
Bush reportedly said at the ceremony former President George H.W. Bush sent his “best regards to ‘old iron ass,'” a reference to the nickname the senior Bush gave Cheney is his new biography.
Roll Call put the cost of crafting the bust at around $50,000.

I can only hope.
Props to the first person to splash it with blood red paint. Preferably some kind that will leave a permanent stain on the marble.
Well another waste of tax dollars and the loss of a perfectly good piece of marble.
