One columnist who penned one of the many pieces predicting that Donald Trump would never win the Republican presidential nomination will eat his words—literally.

Dana Milbank, a columnist for The Washington Post, announced Wednesday in a video that he would make good on a promise he made back in October: if Trump won the GOP nomination, he would eat a print copy of his column.

In the column, aptly titled “Trump will lose or I will eat the column,” Milbank banked on that prediction for the simple reason that “Americans are better than Trump.”

“(Mitt) Romney is right,” Milbank wrote. “In fact, I’m so certain Trump won’t win the nomination that I’ll eat my words if he does. Literally: The day Trump clinches the nomination I will eat the page on which this column is printed in Sunday’s Post. I have this confidence for the same reason Romney does: Americans are better than Trump.”

But Milbank doesn’t plan to make his act of eating a newspaper a simple one. In the video, Milbank said that he crowdsourced recipes that incorporated newspaper from readers to make it “downright mouthwatering.”

Milbank plans to eat his favorites out of those recipes, whipped up by Washington, D.C. chef Victor Albisu, on May 12. The Post’s food critic, Tom Sietsema, is expected to judge and pick the tastiest.
