“The Daily Show” said on Tuesday night’s episode that Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) critique of President Barack Obama’s visit to Cuba felt hollow.
Host Trevor Noah said it sounded like Cruz was just jealous that he wasn’t invited to the party.
“It almost feels like Ted Cruz isn’t complaining about opening up Cuba as much as he’s complaining about a party he wasn’t invited to,” Noah said. “That’s what he sounds angry about. ‘A party about rock stars and celebrities makes me so mad. If they called me right now, I wouldn’t even go. I’ll just check my phone, okay no messages. Good because I wasn’t going anyway. Because tonight I’m busy staring in the mirror practicing human smiles.'”
