Fox News said Tuesday that Donald Trump’s campaign canceled an interview the network booked with embattled campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

The interview was canceled shortly after it was announced.

“Corey Lewandowski was booked exclusively for tonight’s show and the campaign subsequently canceled his appearance,” Amy Sohnen, executive producer of “The O’Reilly Factor,” said in a statement provided to TPM.

Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for Trump’s campaign said in an email that Lewandowski “was unable to join due to a scheduling conflict.”

The interview was teased on air in the 3 p.m. hour, and Fox’s Greta Van Susteren also tweeted the announcement:

Minutes later, though, Van Susteren tweeted that the interview had been postponed:

Police in Jupiter, Florida, charged Lewandowski with misdemeanor battery on Tuesday, after a former Breitbart reporter filed a report alleging that he grabbed her arm earlier this month at a campaign event. Trump has insisted that Lewandowski is innocent, and a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign said that Lewandowski won’t be fired even if he is convicted of the charge.
