The official Facebook page of former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Monday was hacked by the same individual who illegally accessed email accounts belonging to the Bush family, the Smoking Gun reported.
Powell’s Facebook page was littered with messages insulting former President George W. Bush, the work of the hacker who goes by the pseudonym “Guccifer.”
“You will burn in hell, Bush!” read one post.
“Kill the illuminati! Tomorrow’s world will be a world free of illuminati or will be no more!” read another.
Along with the messages, the hacker posted a photo album containing screengrabs of the Bush family’s email accounts accessed last month. The screengrabs, which include photos of paintings by Bush, were marked with Guccifer’s signature.
Order has since been restored to Powell’s Facebook page. The former general initially addressed the “stupid, obscene” material by acknowleding in a post that his profile had been hacked. A few hours later, Powell wrote a follow-up post saying that “the hacking problem has been fixed.”
