Hillary Clinton called on Charlotte police Friday afternoon to release footage of the fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott “without delay.”

“We must ensure justice,” Clinton wrote in a tweet.

NBC News aired the first publicly released footage of the incident taken by Scott’s wife, Rakeyia Scott, earlier Friday afternoon. The video was taken on a cell phone and does not appear to answer whether Scott had a gun.

Charlotte police have so far declined to release dash cam and body camera footage of the shooting, but said Thursday that their videos do not provide “definitive visual evidence” that Scott was pointing a gun at officers.

Scott’s family viewed the police footage Thursday, and also said that the videos do not provide definitive answers about whether Scott held a gun.

Agreed. Let’s have the footage. Why not release it? Is it to hide the fact that Charlotte trains its officers to be stormtroopers?

  2. Trump: State Rights. NC’s law says NO. Hillary is with “Run Them Down” crowd.

  3. Why does it matter if he had a gun? North Carolina is an open carry state.

Oh wait, did they just mean “open carry for white folks?” Of course they did.

  4. No she’s not. But thanks for showing your lack of intellect.

  5. Reading comprehension – it’s not just for the intelligent anymore.
