Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton cracked up in an interview aired Sunday when she was asked if she foresaw herself running against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump when she attended his wedding 11 years ago.
“Looking back then, I didn’t think I would run for president, I can’t speak to whatever was in his mind,” Clinton replied on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “That’s a good question.”
CNN’s host Jake Tapper again asked her if she ever considered that there would be a day in which they’d both be running for president.
“Never crossed my mind, not at all,” Clinton replied, laughing.
FFS. It took months for anyone, quite possibly including himself, to take the idea of a Trump candidacy seriously when he was actually running, never mind eleven years ago. Silly, pointless, obvious-answer question. The MSM figures are mostly as vacuous these days as any reality-show star, and for the same reasons—they’ve embraced the premises of the reality-show world, and forgotten they’re supposed to be reporting on the real world out there. The whole show involves celebrity attention junkies vying for power in an artificial arena. The fact that the winners will have real-world power is a little-remarked-on coincidence. It’s no wonder the most serious real problems get ignored—it’s precisely because they are real.
Clinton continued: " …but I’ll certainly never forget their vows: 'I, The Donald, take you, the much younger fashion model, to be my new trophy wife, to have and to hold in saucy magazine photos; for better hair or much much worse; for richer (much much richer); in sickness and in wealth; to love and to cherish……until you reach 40; from this day forward until you depart with some of my money."
As the President said “Tapper left journalisim and went to CNN” Case closed. LOL!
I’m with you here… I can’t believe that was a question from a “journalist’s” mouth. I mean, who in their right mind even asks questions as stupid and ridiculous as this one? Good on Hillary for laughing on his face.
It’s kind of amazing how everything Trump can say about Hillary boomerangs back around and hurts him. It’s going to be one epically ugly campaign, but Trump is close to what you’d come up with if you went into a laboratory to create a candidate uniquely suited to being defeated by Hillary Clinton.
OT but did anyone see that Huntsman basically said he’d support Trump if he got the nom? What’s up with that? Even if he was holding his nose, I was surprised.
