Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) called for a temporary ban on refugees entering the United States during a Friday night appearance on “Hannity” while asserting that “blanket coverage” of all Muslims refugees is inappropriate.
“I think we should have a temporary ban on refugees coming here until it’s clear that there aren’t terrorists embedded. But, if a Kurd wanted to come to this country, the strongest supporters of the United States in the region that are Muslim, I’m not sure that’s an appropriate thing, or an Indonesian. Blanket coverage of all Muslims doesn’t make sense.”
His presidential nominee rival, real estate mogul Donald Trump, proposed a ban on all Muslims entering the country on Monday.
Bush said the best solutions for refugees is to not leave their homeland.
“We need safe havens inside of Syria,” he said. “The best refugee solution is to make sure they don’t leave, to give them safe harbor and build a Sunni-led force in Syria to mobilize support with the Arab world to take out ISIS.”

The Kurds? No whey!
Well, there ya @MattinPA. I think that’s about as close as the Republicans are gonna get to condemning the virulent anti-Muslim fear-mongering of Trump and Cruz and others that leads to firebombing of mosques. No profiles in courage there.
what’s disappointing is that after the first ‘denunciations’ of Donnie Dipstick for advocating this the conversation is now becoming ‘well maybe we should do it a little’…
the window has been opened and it will soon have mainstream acceptance… witness Loretta Sanchez (D)
I’m convinced Jeb Bush is impotent in many, many ways.
No “blanket” policy? Are you sure about that, Uber-Religionists? You sure you don’t want to give a blanket contaminated with Ebola or some other God-loving disease?
