After Donald Trump repeatedly suggested that President George W. Bush was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the hosts of “Fox and Friends” on Monday morning proposed that the real estate mogul instead target President Bill Clinton.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade told Trump that he should be “madder” at Clinton “for not taking a legitimate shot at somebody who declared war on us in the ’90s.”
Kilmeade suggested that Bush was not prepared for the threat of Al Qaeda because it was not adequately discussed before his presidency.
“You have to think about 2001. When we walked in to — when the president walked into his four years in office, Al Gore and George Bush weren’t even debating Al Qaeda, even though Bin Laden declared war on us in 1996,” he said.
Trump said during a Sunday interview that he could have prevented 9/11 with stronger immigration policies, arguing that he would not have allowed the individuals who eventually carried out the attack to stay in the country.
Kilmeade said that Bush would have needed to begin searching for those who had overstayed their visas right away in order to prevent anyone from carrying out an attack.
Later, during an appearance on “Fox and Friends,” Trump refused to back down from his comments placing some responsibility for the attacks on Bush and also criticized the former president for starting the Iraq War.

Bwahaha! Trying and failing to…not connect the dots.
Geez, it’s not like GWB was in office for 1 day now is it. Nine months and he ignored
Richard Clarke’s memo.
Worst president ever!
It’s so funny to see people not know what to do with the monster they created themselves.
Dusting off those golden oldies. The party of personal responsibility once again claims no responsibility.
Bryan, you ignorant slut!
This could be good !
