Bill Clinton will go to bat for President Barack Obama next week when the former president delivers a speech in defense of the new federal health care law, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd reported on-air Wednesday.

“His September 4th speech will be the first of a number of high profile events and speeches by administration officials and allies throughout the fall aimed at raising awareness about the law,” a White House official told TPM.

Clinton will deliver the speech next Wednesday at his presidential library in Little Rock, Ark.
